M and M Lambretta

1964 Ancillotti 175 Racer

Based on a 1964 Lambretta LI/125 Series III

This is an originally tuned by the ‘Ancillotti’ Bros. in the late 60’s, in Florence.

The was restored a while back and since the original owner knows one of the ‘Ancillotti’ Bros. personally, the ‘Ancillotti’ painted logos & racing ovals on the panels were applied using original templates after the restoration  was finished, exactly as the scooter was prior to being restored.

The engine has a tuned 175cc top end with extra ports, a 29mm Dell’Orto carb and a VERY large 50 mm Ancillotti large bore  exhaust.

A brief history of the Ancillotti Bros .....

Ancillotti pictures from Rimini Lambretta Centre in Italy ....

Original 29mm Dell’Orto carb ...  Sweet condition for a 42 year old carb ...

Seen below (next 3 pictures), the original custom made intake manifold
to feed the hungry cylinder

An original 50mm Ancillotti exhaust system ...
Visible are the weld and methods on how the made a custom big bore exhaust.
Glad to see it survived 40+ years and still sounds great !!

More detailed pictures still to come ...
Especially the 1960 style home made damper adapter to the front fork links ...

The Sticker ....

It says "Team Ancillotti Tuning Florence Via Santa Monaca" and in the inside it says record stand still (1/4 mile) 172.2 km/h (107.00 mph), Monza 12-65.
