| A little historical background
... The scooter was originally one color and was repainted by the original owner Norman Legg, He painted it in the two tone scheme. Norman was quoted as a great old guy and very knowledgeable on Lambrettas, he was a lambretta mechanic in the fifties and had a scooter shop in or near Bournmouth Dorset (UK). Norman also had another Ld mk 2 which he bought new for his wife, that scooter is in super original condition, and now resides in the National motor museum at Beaulieu. |
