The D can be identify as three
different versions. The Model D
and LD were also among the first versions
to be made outside Italy as Innocenti sold license for production
around the world. First Version 1951-52: Chromed steel handlebars with aluminum endcaps, rod-controlled rear brake (starting mid-1952 this was changed to a cable together with larger brake pedal rubber), the underseat toolbox tube was conical shaped with a self-locking lid (the lid was modified to secure using a spring starting in mid-1952), brown seat covers. Second Version 1953: Adjustable aluminum handlebars with plastic levers, larger rear brake pedal, cable-controlled rear brake, cylindrical toolbox tube with lid secured with spring, brown seat covers. |
